When Brian Glazebrook the founder of the Birchdale business decided to step back and hand over the reins to his son Jack he had one eye on taking things a little easier in life and following his passion for working with specialist hardwoods, softwoods and veneers making the occasional piece of joinery to keeping himself active.
Well – he did things a little too well and from our fully equipped workshop (known as Brian’s shed or The Tardis as anything and everything gets produced out of there) we consistently produce high quality joinery items for the listed, restoration and replacement sectors plus a totally bespoke design and install service for bars and restaurants in and around Shopshire and Hertfordshire.
We are probably best advising you that you might need to be patient for your specialist joinery requirements especially our most popular requests for Oak entrance porches and replacement sash windows because Brian doesn’t just pick a random length of timber to work with, he hand picks the right piece of timber to suit your specific project…now that is dedication to the craft!
Point of note: We only work with a supply chain sustainably certified by all relevant bodies offering totally bespoke products made out of certified Oak, Ash, Elm, Sycamore, Walnut, Cherry and Douglas fir to name but a few alongside various plywood’s and sheet materials with a veneered finish.
